I just pulled together more of my absolutely favorite Halloween party theme ideas for you to use for your 2007 Halloween party.  So let the ghoul times roll!

Gruesome Food Ideas for Halloween:

Pickled eyeballs (bowl of olives)

Bat wings (hot wings or barbequed chicken wings)

Witches fingers (barbequed ribs)

Slugs (cut hot dogs in half to make two slugs, poke eye holes and fill with
pimento for eyes)

Radioactive Punch (sure to be a hit) -- A mini-water cooler can become your
radioactive punch bowl for Halloween!  First activate some glow sticks by
cracking and shaking them up.  Place in water cooler bottle, then add punch
(recipe below).  Glow sticks make the whole cooler glow.

Halloween Punch Recipe -- 8 cups cranberry juice, 6 cups sparkling apple
cider and 6 orange slices

Scary ice cubes -- Fill ice cube trays with some of the punch.  Add small
plastic spiders, skulls, flies, etc.  Freeze and float in punch bowl.  (Beware as ice melts that no one swallows the plastic toys!)

The Best New Halloween Decorations!

Get ideal Halloween lighting the safe way by using any of the new
artificial candle flickers.  They look just like real flickering candles,
but you don't have to worry about starting fires and burning the house
down!!  They are battery-operated, super bright, and safe for use indoors
or out.  Perfect for jack-o-lanterns, haunted house decor and even after
Halloween for power outages.  I just love them because fire is one thing
that scares me to pieces!

If you have a larger budget for your party and want to create an eerie
atmosphere, I'd go out immediately and purchase the new shaking haunted
chandelier (about $80).  It is 32" long, also can be used indoors or out,
and comes with an adapter and motor.  Once it's plugged in it runs
continuously and your party guests will really get a kick out of it.

Halloween Party Theme Ideas for a Non-traditional Halloween Party:

Come as your Favorite Celebrity (Alive or Dead celebrities welcome!)

Decades themes such as 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's -- either select one
decade or leave it up to your guests to pick their favorite era and mix
the decades up all in one party

Villains and Heroes theme from comics, movies, TV shows or popular books

Come dressed only in these colors -- orange, black, purple and silver.  You
will be amazed at what your guests come up with!

Instead of Trick-or-Treating for candy, does anyone remember doing this
?

In New York where I grew up, we went door-to-door saying "Trick or
Treat for UNICEF" collecting pennies along with our candy.

For more than 50 years now, UNICEF has raised money for children in
developing countries through its Trick or Treat for UNICEF program.  Make a
special Halloween-themed container for your kids to carry along with their
candy bags and have your children participate in this worthy cause.  Monies
raised provide immunizations, food and clean drinking water for children in
need all over the world.  Or, contact your favorite non-profit organization
in your area and ask if they have a similar trick-or-treat for charity
program.  If you do so, your family will feel content at the end of the
holiday from more than a tummy full of candy!

Most Interesting Halloween Fact I Learned in 2007:

Almost 1.5 billion pounds of pumpkins will be produced in almost any given
year.  More than $150 million is spent on pumpkins each year!!!

And Let's Not Overlook our Wonderful Pets:

Throw a growl-o-ween Halloween party for the dogs in your family and
neighborhood!  Invite them over for a doggie-treats-only party (OK, you can
make them do tricks for their treats) BUT they must come in costume!  Award
prizes for the most original, funniest, scariest and best pet-owner
combination costumes!

Hope you like these Halloween party theme ideas.  Remember to let your
imaginations soar as you create your own holiday traditions.

Mysteriously yours,

Danielle Stewart

Hi!  I found your blog searching for bloggers sharing Halloween recipes.

I hope you don't mind me adding the link to the comment.  Normally I try to contact directly but I couldn't find your contact on the page.

We're hosting our first ever carnival and hoping to get lots of fun recipes.  It is also a contest for bloggers who mention the sponsors--whether you just want to share or enter, too, I hope you will come check it out: Terrifyingly Tasty Treats...
